My Story

From Spaces to Plates

I studied photojournalism at Boston University, received a Master of Architecture from Howard University, and worked for 20 years in commercial architecture and interior design.

Inspired by a childhood love of cooking that was renewed during the pandemic, I started Culinart Photography to help food and lifestyle businesses set their brands apart. Most recently, my team was recognized by Food Connects Us magazine as a winner and our work was featured in the summer 2024 issue.

I was totally shocked to see the winning announcement that our team had won for photography! Shocked and Thrilled!

It was a great learning experience. It was fantastic to join forces with Alice Musa @alicem.creative and Linda @sipandsanity to collaborate on the magazine layout for the next issue of Foodlight.io magazine, Food Connects Us!

We coordinated working in the UK and US time zones to research our hot summer color topic to land on food product that is in season in both countries.

We paid attention to detail, color, supporting ingredients, backgrounds to bring the full story of picking peaches to a variety of recipes using raw and cooked peaches.
